How the interview works

Read these once. The format matters as much as your answers. They apply to every session, and you'll see them again right before you begin.

Before you start

10 questions

Drawn from the role and your resume, adapting to your performance as you go.

During the interview

3 minutes each

The clock starts with the question and moves on automatically when time runs out.

Speak or type

Questions are read aloud. Answer by voice and it's transcribed, or switch to typing anytime.

Follow-ups don't count

If your answer needs more, the interviewer may follow up — outside your 10 questions.

Clarify when needed

Ask to clarify ambiguous questions. Stating your assumptions is part of the evaluation.

Answer every question

Not sure? Explain your reasoning or give a partial answer — it's better than skipping.

After the interview

Feedback afterwards

Get specific feedback on technical depth, communication, and what to improve before the real interview.

Ready when you are

The timer starts when the first question appears.
